I was probably around 13 when one day my dad and I decided to go to the pet store. When we left the store, we had four mice with us- three females and one male –  and all of the necessities.

We brought them to my father’s law office because we were going to keep them there. I used to go there a lot after school, so now I would have a pet there. We set everything up, including all the tubes going from one tank to another.

I was excited. But you can imagine what ended up happening.

It wasn’t long before we began finding small piles of pink furless babies. And they were so cute.

But whoa, it got out of hand pretty quick. Before we knew it, we had hundreds. My dad and I started giving them away to the pet stores. I don’t remember how long we kept them for, but eventually we gave everything away.
